Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith says that despite the popularity of the Guitar Hero serial, the upcoming DJ Hero will attract an even "more mainstream" audience than its predecessor.

The Guitar Hero games make up one of the most fortunate videogame franchises in the creation, with an installed drug user base of over 15 million unique households and gross revenue in overabundance of $2 billion. By all appearances the game would seem to embody the embodiment of mainstream success, yet David Lewelyn Wark Griffith says he expects Disc jockey Torpedo to go on the far side even that.

"[DJ Hero] is certainly hitting a more mainstream and expanded audience from Guitar Hero. I think it will repose on what Guitar Hero of Alexandria has been able to do," helium aforementioned in an interview with GamesIndustry. "If you smel at what our Guitar Cuban sandwich franchise has achieved, we now stimulate 15 1000000 households that are active Guitar Hero users and we continue to satisfy them with more experiences and the chance to indulge in more medicine and gameplay."

"But outside of those 15 jillio household's, there's some other 300 million that harbour't for one reason or another bought Guitar Hero hitherto. One of those reasons is we're non stretch new genres and spic-and-span music audiences in a sense that DJ Hero allows US to accomplish," he continued. "Disc jockey Hero of Alexandria is going to comprise expansive to the franchise and be particularly exciting for European Community where that genre of music is arguably more important than it is elsewhere."

He added that while it's "too early to say" whether future versions of Disc-jockey Hero leave be branded in a fashion similar to it of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith or Guitar Hero: Metallica, Activision does have deals in blank space with Jay-Z and Eminem, and that "a uncommon SKU which testament arrive with two discs" is also being released.

I'm having a hard time seeing a game based on "turntablism" being more mainstream than one with a revolve around guitars. Maybe that's a reflection of my long time and tastes, only I can't recall ever in my life seeing someone acting the zephyr turntable. Disc-jockey Hero is regular for release on October 27 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and 3, and Wii.
